The Mount Dora Historic Inn is nestled in the heart of Historic Downtown Mount Dora. Enjoy the romance and charm of this hidden treasure, located just 35 minutes outside of Orlando. As soon as you walk out the door, you will find local shopping, dining, culture, entertainment, and recreation!

The Inn was built in 1910 and it has been lovingly restored to its original charm. Each room has a private bathroom with an emphasis on complete guest comfort and tranquility. The Mount Dora Historic Inn offers classic appeal with a modern feel. In all of our rooms, we put in new LG 43" Smart TVs, Alexa devices with smart speakers and clocks, smart lamps, USB chargers on each side of the bed, keyless entry locks, and bidets in the bathrooms.

Our Accommodations

Mister Charlie's Room

Located on the first floor, Mister Charlie's Room has historical furnishings like an overstuffed chair for easy unwinding. The room also has a modern, private bath with a step-in shower.

Miss Elsie's room

Located on the first floor, Miss Elsie's Room has furnishings from the 1920s, such as a walnut handkerchief chest and British armoire. The room has a private bathroom and a queen-size bed.

Dick's room

Dick's Room is the largest room in the inn with a king-size bed and antique mahogany pieces, which is why honeymooners love it. The room is on the second floor and has a private bathroom.

Mary Grey's room

Sit in two beautiful chairs of Mary Grey's room as you look at the treetops outside through its lace-covered windows. Sleep in a cozy queen-size bed. The room is on the second floor and has a private bathroom.

Parking in Mount Dora, FL can be difficult, but don't worry about having to fight traffic while staying with us. Every room gets a free private parking spot that's off of the street. Though, if you don't want to drive, downtown is less than a five-minute walk away.

Melanie greeted us warmly and it just got better from there. Her breakfasts are amazing! She was very accommodating and her attention to detail is excellent. The location of the Inn is the best you can get. Just out the door and you can walk to everything but on a quiet street.

"Mount Dora is a special place!" The Historical District was amazing and some of the homes were simply beautiful! This one is called Bellissimmo Castello Di Mount Dora and was built in 1925! Gorgeous and phenomenal Architecture of the Era and area.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Inn for one evening recently. We were in Miss Elsie's room, and it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The owner Rachel, and the innkeeper Ruth, were both welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast is served a very short walk away at Cody's on 4th and was very good. It was a wonderful visit.

We were visiting a friend’s wedding but it was also our 7-year anniversary so we turned it into a little weekend getaway! Mount Dora Historic Inn made us feel so special, with a sweet note and gift to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in Mr. Charlie’s Room, which was spacious and cozy at the same time. The shower was a bit tight but everything else was exactly what we needed. The staff was very kind and helpful. The Inn is located right on the edge of town making it very walkable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back in the future!
